With a 2021 Global Hunger Index GHI score of 28.3%, Nigeria is home to Africa’s largest population with over 200 million inhabitants. 42.8% of this enormous population lives below the poverty line, potentially posing a grave challenge to the future of productivity for this dynamic human resource base.

With a 2020 Male Adult Mortality Rate of 357.9 deaths per 1000 male adults and a 59% married male population as against a 70% married female population; Nigeria is home to over 20 million vulnerable widows and over 25 million Orphaned and Vulnerable Children OVC grappling with enormous medical, social, academic, emotional, nutritional and material challenges that often times are life-threatening.

Erinma Oke Foundation is on a mission to secure and safeguard the future of millions of poor and vulnerable widows and orphans, paving a safe path for them to exploit their greatest talents, hidden capabilities and salient dreams in a world that otherwise exposes them to failure and redundancy due to life’s challenging circumstances.
