Servicing vulnerable widows
The Vulnerable Widows Support Program is specially designed for women of all ages who have lost their life partners and are unable to carry on normal lives after the death of their partners. The Program is carefully tailored to:
- Restore the low status imposed on vulnerable widows by society
- Prevent discrimination against them
- Stop violence against them
- Secure the legal rights of vulnerable widows including inheritance and civil society rights
- Destroy the cultural stereotype of being evil or naturally unfortunate members of the Nigerian society
- Prevent demeaning and life-threatening traditional practices against their fundamental rights
- Empower vulnerable widows with entrepreneurial skills and startup funding for small and medium business ventures
- Provide them with emotional and spiritual support
- Provision of material support
- And just about anything to give vulnerable widows a normal love-filled life.
